It’s time to sharpen your ice skates because neighborhood ice rinks are set to open this Saturday, Dec. 21st.
If you don’t have ice skates, all of the local rinks (except Nokomis) provide loaner skates free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
The rinks at Hiawatha School and Longfellow Park have both ice skating and hockey rinks. The Matthews Park rink offers broomball in addition to figure skating and hockey.
Warming house hours are Monday-Friday 3-9 pm, Saturday 10 am-9 pm, Sunday noon-6 pm.
