From the Minneapolis Police Department:
“This afternoon (Oct 17, 2012) the Minneapolis Police Department is seeking the public’s help to assist in locating a missing 85 year-old man with Alzheimer’s who left home early this morning and did not return.
At approximately 6:30 this morning ROBERT DENNIS OLSON left his home in the 5200 block of 35th Avenue South on his way to the area of 47th Street East and Hiawatha Avenue South and failed to return. Mr. Olson, an 85 year-old white male, 5’10” tall with a medium build was last seen driving a 2003 tan Mercury Sable MN plate 580-DPR.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of Mr. Olson or knows where he has been please contact the Minneapolis Police Department by calling 911 or notify your local law enforcement agency.”
UPDATE (10/18/12) from the Minneapolis Police Department:
“Minneapolis Police Department investigator, Sergeant Mark Gasior, learned this morning that missing Minneapolis man, Robert Olson, was found safe late yesterday in Clear Lake South Dakota. Clear Lake is located about 20 miles west of Canby, MN. As of this morning Mr. Olson is safe with his family. The family did not release any other details to the MPD.”
